Our Core Spiritual Beliefs
Scripture as God’s Word
We believe that all Scripture—both the Old and New Testaments—is divinely inspired, written as the Holy Spirit moved the authors to communicate God’s very words. We believe the Bible should be viewed through the lens of Christ to fully understand its truth. The Scriptures are the authoritative guide for what we believe and how we live.
(2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21)
One True God
We believe in the one true God who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Though distinct in role, they are one in nature, indivisible, and worthy of all worship.
(Matthew 28:19, Luke 3:21-22)
Humanity and Sin
We believe that God created humanity in His image to reflect His glory. Sin, better understood as missing the mark of God’s design, entered the world through disobedience. However, by trusting in God, we can be restored and learn to live in alignment with His purpose, hitting the mark of righteous living.
(Romans 5:12, Genesis 1:27)
Jesus Christ – God’s Son
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, fully God and fully man. Through Him, we see the perfect image of righteousness—a right relationship with God that leads to right behavior in every area of life.
(Luke 1:26-35, John 1:1, 14, Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah 9:6)
The Death and Resurrection of Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day, just as the Scriptures foretold. After His resurrection, He appeared to His disciples and others as proof of His victory over sin and death.
(1 Corinthians 15:1-8, Romans 4:25)
Jesus’ Ascension and Return
We believe that Jesus ascended to heaven and now reigns as Lord at the right hand of the Father. We look forward to His promised physical return to earth to bring His Church to Himself.
(John 14:2-3, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
Salvation by Grace
We believe that salvation is a free gift of God’s grace, given to all who turn to Him in repentance and faith. Through the perfect sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, our sins are forgiven, and we are made right with God by His shed blood. Salvation empowers us to live a godly life, and God has given us imagination to help envision and pursue this life in Christ.
(Ephesians 2:8-9, Hebrews 9:12-14, Romans 5:11)
Water Baptism
We believe that water baptism is an outward declaration of an inward change and an act of obedience in response to Jesus’ command. It symbolizes the believer’s identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.
(Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38, Acts 19:1-6)
Baptism of the Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, a promise from God to empower believers for a victorious Christian life. The Holy Spirit bestows spiritual gifts and cultivates the fruits of godly character. Through the Spirit, we are transformed by the renewal of our minds, which includes adopting a renewed value system aligned with God’s truth.
(Acts 2:1-4, Acts 8:14-17, Galatians 3:14)
The Church – Christ’s Body
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers. Jesus gave the Church spiritual leaders—apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers—to equip His people for service and growth in faith. The value we give to the Church and others will reflect the value we receive in return, as we serve in God’s Kingdom.
(Ephesians 4:11-13)
Eternal Life and Judgment
We believe in the resurrection of the dead, where all people will stand before God for judgment. Believers in Christ will inherit eternal life, while those who reject Him will face eternal separation from God.
(John 3:16, 5:24-27, Revelation 20:11-15)
